Uncomplicated

So, if you follow me on any social media platform, you might already know what this is about.

There have been multiple instances that I've questioned if God ever saw me. If he ever cared, let alone love me. This, despite experiencing his faithfulness every time. When I was sharing with others about how God loves them and he will never fail.

I know, not a good way to start off is it?

Let's talk about something else for a while.

I don't know about you, but I've heard so many people reply , "It's complicated", to so many questions. And no, this reply isn't common only when inquiring about their relationship status. You can hear people say this as an answer to a wide variety of questions, ranging from things at home to who would win the premier league. Heck, even I've said it when someone asked me if I was studying!

In a world where even the status of a person's studies is complicated, there is a love that is simple. Pure. Raw. Unconditional. No special words to memorize. No long chants to recite. No elaborate rituals to gain it. No sin we could commit to lose it.

The Israelites of the old never had access to God directly. Always elaborate rituals and sacrifices, just so someone could represent them to God.

It always fascinates me how, God himself became man and "RE-presented" himself to man. He didn't hold back even when he knew he would have to face the most cruel death.

For him, the equation was simple. You and me were worth anything he might have had to face. That, is love. Love is not blind. Love saw everything, and it still chose you and me. The sinful and backsliding me. The unfaithful and short- tempered me. The selfish and unkind me.

It's simple, unconditional, uncomplicated love.
